Service Terms
Clear information about how the restringing service works.
Last updated 19 August 2026
These terms explain how Crosby Racket Stringing provides restringing and related services. They are intended to keep arrangements clear and straightforward for everyone.
Getting in touch
Submitting an enquiry or discussing possible options does not commit you to having any work completed.
Before starting, we will discuss your racket and agree the proposed string, tension, price and expected turnaround. The final details will normally be confirmed when the racket is dropped off.
Prices and payment
Current prices are shown on the relevant sport pages. Unless stated otherwise, prices include the string, fitting and personalised advice.
The price of special-order strings, replacement grommets, bumper guards or other additional work will be confirmed before anything is ordered or carried out.
Payment is due when the completed racket is collected, unless agreed otherwise.
Turnaround times
Most rackets are completed within 24–48 hours where possible. This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed completion time.
Special-order strings, replacement grommets and bumper guards may take longer. Any expected delay will be explained before the work proceeds.
Racket condition
Rackets are handled carefully and inspected before stringing.
Please mention any known cracks, previous repairs or concerns when arranging the restring. The stringing process places normal stress on a racket frame, and existing damage or deterioration may only become apparent during the work.
If a problem is identified before or during stringing, work will pause where practical and you will be contacted before any additional work is undertaken.
Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so.
Customer-supplied string
You are welcome to supply your own string. Labour-only prices are shown on the relevant sport page.
The string supplied must be suitable for the racket and sufficient to complete the restring. Crosby Racket Stringing cannot be responsible for faults or deterioration already present in customer-supplied string, but it will always be handled with reasonable care.
If the supplied string cannot be used or breaks during fitting because of an existing fault, you will be contacted to discuss the available options.
Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel agreed work, please get in touch as soon as possible.
If work has not started and no special-order items have been purchased, there will normally be no charge.
If work has already started or a specially requested string or part has been ordered with your agreement, reasonable costs already incurred may be payable.
Collection
You will be contacted when your racket is ready. Please arrange collection at a convenient time, as Crosby Racket Stringing does not operate as a permanently staffed shop.
If you cannot collect as arranged, please get in touch so that another time can be agreed.
Problems with the service
If you have any concerns about completed work, please make contact as soon as possible so the issue can be assessed and resolved fairly.
These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
